Westies in Essex are delighted to add some Ballroom and Latin Workshops to their Dance events for 2019. You do not need to book with a partner to attend this workshop. This workshop is suitable for Beginners to Ballroom & Latin, but also for those of you who have some Ballroom & Latin experience! It is a ‘Mash up’ and looks like it is going to be a fun afternoon of dancing!
Doors open 12.45pm for Registration and pre workshop hot/cold drinks. PLEASE arrive promptly so we can get the show on the road at 1pm!
1pm – 2pm Sosa – Latin/Ballroom in line …Energising & Fun!
Sosa is a fabulous mix of Authentic dance rythmns and no partner is required. There will be a Ballroom and Latin in line dance feel to this workshop with some Merengue, Soca, Salsa, Line & Disco music. What is there not to like! a great way to warm up and get those feet moving to the music.
2.20pm – 3.20pm – Cha Cha Cha
The Cha Cha has been choreographed by Sue to suit a slotted social dancing style so that it does not travel too much so is going to be very danceable on a social dance floor
3.45pm – 4.30pm – Rumba 1
What better way to end the afternoon’s workshop but with some Sequence dancing. This is becoming hugely popular and is of course great fun to dance. The Rumba 1 is the most popular sequence dance and is danced regularly at Ballroom and Latin socials. It uses authentic steps from the beautiful rumba. It is danced in a circle with a partner. Knowing Sue and Adrian they are likely to give this Sequence Dance a bit of a fun twist at the end.
4.30pm – 6pm – TEA DANCE.
£20 Workshop if booking on one of our other Workshops we are hosting in January. Must be pre booked and pre paid before 1st January.
